Feedback from Attendees

We gathered feedback about the summit by distributing an event evaluation to all attendees, and have summarized the responses into this brief overview. We’d like to thank everyone who took the time to complete the evaluation. This is an ongoing learning process, as feedback from participants is instrumental in adapting and changing our design approach for future events.

Great opportunity to network with partners.

These sessions reinvigorate one to go back and do the work.

Who we heard from...

Been to several Division Central Round Tables; this was the best so far. Seeing more of the big picture probably enhanced by my own progress in thinking about these issues.

Key themes...

Participants felt they had the opportunity to learn about approaches used in other communities to improve primary health care, and are now able to envision more specifically how to participate in the change underway in the BC health care system and formulate their role at the local level. We also heard that participants aren’t yet able to clearly identify the supports and funding available to practices and divisions to fully engage in the implementation of the patient medical home/primary care home. Participants are looking for more information in order to clearly identify the evaluation approach, process, and supports as we implement the patient medical home model.

We heard from you...

What we heard...

Was impressed with how much experience was in the room and the enthusiasm to move forward. Lots of good discussions.

This was the best two-day summit by far.

What attendees would like changed for future events...

Attendees would like to have more opportunity to participate and contribute their own thinking to “getting the work done,” and to spend less time sitting and listening.

What attendees would like to see more of...

Attendees valued the opportunity to hear real world examples of work taking place in local communities that demonstrates an integrated system of care. Participants enjoy sessions that are a combination of presentation and interaction.

Need more concrete info to help facilitate engagement and then change.

Not enough opportunity for questions, comments, or discussion.

We will continue to evaluate the feedback we’ve received in order to ensure each provincial event is more valuable than the last. Please don’t hesitate to contact us with any additional feedback or suggestions.
